Consultations for Parents
Functional Speech therapy offers online consulting for parents or caregivers of children with speech, language, and/or feeding needs. Sometimes you just need someone to guide you in the right direction! Online consulting sessions are customizable and are designed to help your child make the most gains in their communication and/or feeding skills. Work with one of our therapists on a home program, review current treatment plan or goals, discuss your concerns, prepare for an IEP meeting, we are here to help your child grow!
How to prepare for a session?
Your therapist will email you a link to connect via a secure, encrypted, and HIPAA compliant video platform. Therapy will begin by going over current concerns/treatment plan/goals, recent evaluation/s, milestones, and review of case history. Afterwards, the therapist will work with you one-on-one to target areas of need and concern. We are here to help!
Are consulting services covered by insurance?
As of today, consulting services are not covered by insurance. Please contact our Chicago speech therapy clinic to learn more about our fees for consulting sessions, as each session is customized per client’s needs.
